1. I love the idea that vulnerability is not dependent upon others responses to our "voice". So great!
2. Yes, when we can realize that trust is not about trying harder, but letting go, how freeing that is! I too, am a type A personality. I constantly have to force my hands to let go!
3. It's so good to be vulnerable! Thank you for being vulnerable to us!
Yes, I'm loving this book! Thank you so much for doing this.
I know that doing these videos might seem like an inconvenience and a burden at times, but please know that we watch them and that you both are a HUGE blessing!
Please take your time and take care of the "inside" - your home, spouse, kids, relationship with God... I love that. You guys are the best.
Keep seeking Him first and shining for Him. You are giving Him glory and you are both so real!
Love you! Thanks again Angie for donating one of your books. My giveaway post is up :-)
Can't wait for the next video to see Charlotte! :-)
Thank you for sharing here today, this was really what I have been struggling with lately is feelings of betrayal, and learning to trust God completely with the most vulnerable parts again. xx Jenn p.s. I'm not on ning, but if this post helps other women which i posted/shared today, then this is my contribution in being a strong while vulnerable woman. http://lovesleadingcompanion.blogspot.com/2010/06/trust-acknowledging-where-i-feel.html
i really enjoyed the definition on forgiveness that you shared here: "I'm no longer looking to the person who hurt me to make it up to me. i'm no longer looking to this person to change or apologize. I release them from having to make me okay. I make the choice to look to God in my life, the person who hurt me is no longer god in my life."
thank you! and blessings to both of you and your families!
Angie and Jessica, I join the others in THANKING YOU for the videos!! I love them! :) And I can't help but mention that I am SO excited to see Charlotte next week!! :) I appreciate the time you take to work on the videos...I love hearing your perspectives as well as hearing that the things I'm feeling are not so weird.
I loved this book! And I may never have found it if it wasn't for the two of you. :) Thank you for suggesting it and hosting this study. I have just completed the study on my blog.
Hi, a friend told me about your Ning and I checked it out today. I’ve watched a few of your videos and LOVED them. On your current Ning video you mentioned a summer break and you all weren’t sure what you were going to do when Ning started to charge to use their software.
I have a Ning that is called The Book Club Network. It s site for Christian book clubs, authors and members. Our hope is to bring authors to book Clubs and leaders to their books. It’s also a place where book clubs can learn from each other, brain storm and get ideas about books for their meetings and share other ideas. It’s also a place to join a book club.
I think that your Ning would fit perfect at our site. We have several face to face book clubs represented there, along with a few on-line book club options for the members that want to belong to a book club but can’t get to one physically yet. We also have resources for those who want to start a book club. I know that our members would welcome your book club. We have a few non-fiction book club options on the site. We’d love to include yours.
The Book Club Network address is www.bookfun.org My blog Finding Hope Through Fiction is www.psalm516.blogspot.com I’d love to include you and your whole group. It’s all free of charge to you and your members. We have a few sponsors that are helping us with the cost. We want to keep this site free to book club members, leaders and authors. You can email me at norafindinghope (at) gmail.com
Looking forward to hearing from you.
