Chapter 7

We're back!!

After a few week hiatus, Angie and I are back together for this week's discussion of chapter 7. Wasn't it a rich chapter? We loved it.

Crazy Love Chapter 7 from angie smith on Vimeo.

Some thoughts worth discussing:
  • Do you play it safe?
  • Can you answer yes to Chan's questions: Are you ready and willing to make yourself nothing? To take the very nature of a servant? To be obedient unto death?
  • How do you give of your time?
  • Share an example of a time when you gave radically and liberally and you saw God bless that action? How did that help you to grow in your relationship with him?
  • What are you doing right now that requires faith?
  • How are you using the gifts God has blessed you with?
Join us on the ning site to discuss these questions and any thoughts you have, as well.

Love,
Angie and Jessica

  1. I love Crazy Love and I'm reading it for the second time now. For many years, I was so blessed but now I am going through a very challenging season in my life. I don't know what the future holds; whether my husband and I will stay in our home or even what next month holds for us. But I am trusting God more now than ever.

I typically like to be in control and to have security. But I'm stepping out and learning new skills and they are out of my comfort zone. So this is requiring me to trust God and step out in faith ...no matter what.

I really enjoyed your video in the bathroom. You guys have such a sense of humor and I love it.

    Blessings,
    Debbie

  3. Thank you for making me think about how we use what we've been given. My husband and I have been so blessed with the opportunities that have come our way in the last few weeks and I have to remind myself that thanking God requires more than just a prayer of thanksgiving. An action is required.

Also, I absolutely LOVE the colour of your bathroom! Any chance you can share the paint colour with us?

  4. I loved this video - from the fact that you had to hide out in the bathroom to the papers being shoved under the door. It made my life seem normal! :)

I really liked what you said here - about living in faith and using your talents. My problem is that I know what I could do; I just haven't had the resources to do it. I'm in limbo right now as I try to find my place. Thanks for the encouragement I needed to keep going.

ps - I love the color of the bathroom!

  5. Girls, LOVED this.. and the bathroom works... I found the video easier to hear, even though Shrek was in my background *grin*

Truly, this was wonderful. I thin it's always good to remain mindful that the Lord takes us through seasons... and if some of us are in a winter right now, it's always good to remember that winter too is beautiful, just in it's own way. And besides, how else would you truly appreciate the spring? :)

I miss quiet time... I vaguely remember what it is... I think I might take you up on the challenge to actually pen it into my plannner. Not pencil... INK. :)
